Before you read further
This page is a plain-English statement of the terms and the risks. It is not legal advice, and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. If you need legal certainty, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction. By using the site or the contracts, you accept the terms below.
OAKEN is non-custodial software. We never hold your keys, your tokens or your funds. Every transaction is signed by your wallet and executed by a public smart contract.
1 · What OAKEN is
OAKEN is a set of public smart contracts and a website that reads them. No operator can move a lock, pause it or take a fee. The v4 vault has one deliberate power: a 2-of-3 multisig can replace the vault code after a public 48-hour delay. v1, v2 and v3 are immutable. The Bonds contracts have a disclosed admin (a 2-of-3 Safe behind a 48h Timelock). The website is a reader and an interface; it is not the vault and is not required for a lock to release.
2 · Eligibility and compliance
You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction and must not be subject to sanctions that prohibit your use of the service. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax, securities, sanctions and anti-money-laundering laws. Do not use OAKEN where doing so would be unlawful.
3 · No custody, no fiduciary duty
We do not custody assets and do not control your wallet. We owe you no fiduciary, advisory or brokerage duty. Nothing on this site is investment, legal, tax or financial advice. You are solely responsible for the transactions you sign.
4 · No warranty, no audit claim
The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We claim no audit. “Source verified” means the published source compiles to the deployed bytecode; it is not a security review. Smart contracts can contain bugs; you use them at your own risk.
What can go wrong.
- Smart-contract risk. A bug, an unexpected token behaviour or a chain-level failure can cause a transaction to revert or behave differently from the description. The contracts are short and public, but they are not guaranteed to be free of defects.
- Irreversibility. Blockchains do not reverse transactions. A lock, a launch, a transfer or a renounce is final. We cannot recover tokens sent to the wrong address, locked with the wrong beneficiary, or locked into a schedule you later regret.
- Token risk. Fee-on-transfer, rebase, blacklist, pause and max-transaction tokens can make a lock hold a different amount than expected, or block a transfer entirely. Exclude the adapter and the vault from fees and limits before locking. Do not lock rebase tokens here.
- Market and liquidity risk. A lock does not make a token valuable or liquid. Prices can go to zero. A locked position can be worth less than when it was locked.
- Third-party risk. Pons, Flap, Genius, Clanker and four.meme are independent services with their own contracts, backends and upgrade rights. Their rules, fees and hooks can change. A third-party launch is not covered by OAKEN's lock model.
- Upgrade risk (v4). A 2-of-3 multisig can replace the v4 vault implementation after a 48-hour delay. That can fix a bug, but it can also change behaviour, and a compromised quorum could upgrade to code you did not expect. The delay is visible on-chain and an upgrade can be cancelled before it executes. Locks in v1–v3 cannot be upgraded.
- Bonds risk. aOAKEN is a separate product with an admin (2-of-3 Safe + 48h Timelock). Redemptions depend on vault reserves and can be limited by them. There is no external yield promise, no aOAKEN market on this site, and OAKEN emissions are not a dollar yield.
- Off-chain metadata. Token images for our own factory are stored off-chain. If that host is unavailable, the image may disappear while the token remains on chain.
- Regulatory risk. The legal treatment of tokens, locks and sales varies by jurisdiction and can change. You are responsible for your own compliance.
5 · Third-party services and links
The site links to block explorers, Sourcify, X, RPC providers, WalletConnect relays and third-party launchpads. Those services are not under our control and have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security or conduct.
6 · Fees
OAKEN charges no protocol fee on locks or on our own factory: you pay the network gas. Third-party launchpads charge their own fees, shown before you sign. Bonds charge a 0.10% redemption fee that goes to stakers. The website does not take custody of any of these amounts.
7 · Prohibited use
Do not use OAKEN to violate sanctions, launder money, defraud anyone, or infringe the rights of others. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, the RPC providers or other users. You are responsible for the tokens and sales you create.
8 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of OAKEN are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of tokens, profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the software or the site. Your sole remedy is to stop using them.
9 · Changes
We may update these terms as the software changes. The version published on this page is the current one. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
